Our history

Demand of spare parts for American cars with fast delivery lay the groundwork for today's success story of KW Parts.

Before the company was founded in 1975, by Mats Klintberg and Christer Way, it was very difficult to get hold of spare parts for American cars in Sweden. While the handful other importers had a six-month delivery time, KW Parts from the onset supplied the market with spare parts and accessories within just a few weeks - by air lifting the parts in from America and thus laying the groundwork for today´s success story.

As demand steadily grew, KW Parts kept up with the development by moving to larger, more suitable premises at various locations in Stockholm:

Metro Auto Oy bought the garage and the car sales operations. KW Parts concentrated yet again on its original core business, American car parts.
